3) Budget

501c3 Update

  • Theresa has contacted Liz Haidinger, who helps with IYNAUS books
  • Substantial costs that are higher than expected: Legal $600-700, Application fee is around the same. Bookkeeping fee is large, around $1000. Looking at our options. Dues have dropped, and will probably continue to drop.  We need to examine the amount of our scholarships in relation to these costs.
  • Quickbooks would  not transfer over to the new bookkeeping . Brad is the back up financial guy for Darren. Because he is leaving we need to find a new person. Brad, Darren, and Joanne can discuss and meet as necessary.
  • Does 5013c need liability insurance? Does this status make a difference in the money going to workshops?  What are the liability responsibilities for IMIYA if we become a 5013c? These are important questions to ask. CO non profit is what we are now.
