  1. BOARD

WELCOME GARY Darren will reach out to Gary directly

WELCOME HOME CECILIA – She is traveling back from Argentina today and Theresa will catch      up her with in the coming week

YOGA SHARE – Sutra study with Brian Hogencamp, once a month.  Theresa found  informative     and helpful

  • APPLICANTS –  Are applications accessible? – Peggy cannot access the applications currently, and will work with Rebecca for access. Question raised as to how studios are staying open. Can studios do the grass roots efforts to identify students who are committed to learning even though they are not IMIYA members. This is the aim of the scholarship offering. Discussion about whether studios need funds to stay open. Due to IMIYA’s nonprofit status being based on education the board is not certain that scholarship money can be awarded directly to studios. Theresa will research whether this can be done.

What is a reasonable turnaround time? – December 15 is the NEW scholarship deadline

Continuing Education: Applicant Opportunities- None that we are aware of in our region currently

                                            Teacher Outreach

           3)TREASURER (Darren)

  • Share of financials – via QuickBooks online
  • QuickBooks/ Pros and Cons (for Gary)
  • Introduce Gary to the role – Darren will speak directly to Gary
  • Monthly financial record be created prior to January

            4) MEMBERSHIP (Mandy)

  • Membership Update: Should we try the script again?  The board agreed this should wait, membership is certainly a concern, Nov 2020 approx. 200 members vs. Nov 2021 membership is 126, seems that right now it’s quite easy to study with teachers out of our region and so maybe people are not renewing memberships due to pandemic financial issues and yet they have access to great teachers online
  • Online Drive January – April TBD, Highlight Senior Teacher…

             5) YOGA AND EQUITY (Joanne)

  • Updated language that aligns with IYNAUS training

              7) OUTREACH/COMMUNICATION (Cecilia)

  • Teacher survey w/ board input, should we create one? Goals of the survey would be to determine the needs of teachers in our region and what the IMIYA board could do to assist/support them
