BOARD
Welcome Melanie!

SCHOLARSHIP (Mandy Coates)  
No new scholarship applicants.
IMIYA t-shirt. Do we want to do another t-shirt? How could we make the t-shirt in a more environmentally friendly way? IYNAUS Convention T-shirts used a third party vendor that people were able to purchase their t-shirt. How could IMIYA do this without people having to pay? 
Charlotte will take down scholarship form down
Melanie and Mandy can discuss the scholarship position together.

MEMBERSHIP (Alyssa Sikora)
Membership Drive. What did that look like in the past?  A weekend event with different teachers, around 30-50 people. Sometimes they would show a video, have a discussion, or a teacher would teach class. Possibility for 2025? How is it different from the gatherings?
Table for IMIYA with the brochure. We could make flyers for studios and bring them to workshops to spread the knowledge of IMIYA and hopefully bring in more members.

Cecilia has made the 2025 payment for Service Mark
Form 990 – IRS requires information about tax exempt organizations
The Board needs to get Paypal account info for site.

Plans for spring gathering; ideas for outreach
Scholarship Drive

SOCIAL MEDIA (Sara Mahowald)
The board tackled setting up Sara on IMIYA Facebook and Instagram. The board looked at whether posts are showing up on IG and FB.
Sara can bring some different suggestions about posts for IMIYA. People can email Sara with ideas. If you see something on IG that you like, you can send it to Sara as a possible idea for IMIYA’s account.

Bylaws – Rebecca Wallace
Rebecca will meet with Ramona to review bylaws. She will add language addressing the situation if a board position remains empty and  title the bylaws. Our language in our bylaws need to indicate that the IMIYA board is a separate organization from IYNAUS.
There will be an IYNAUS Board meeting in Philadelphia in May to plan for the 2026 Convention.
