BOARD
BOARD DEVELOPMENT – Supporting the mission and one another (Joanne/Rebecca)
The board discussed changing board meeting dates and times to accommodate board members’ schedules including the possibility of having longer meetings, less often.
The Board is voting via Google forms
Suki is stepping  back from membership and be a friend of IMIYA.

REGIONAL REP to IYNAUS/Bylaws (Rebecca Wallace)
Amended bylaws can be sent to the IRS alongside the form 990. Rebecca will do some more research and touch base with Cecilia.

GRANTS  (Mandy Coates, Melanie Doskocil)  
The last grant application was successful with two applicants receiving grants that covered the full cost of their assessments.
Mandy and Melanie met and brainstormed. They wanted to bring to the Board that it might be good to bring in new Grant committee members. Put together a shortlist of possible IMIYA members that could be interested in being part of the committee.
The next grant offering could be for a Iyengar workshop from August 1-October 31st. Around $1700 left in grant funds. You have six months to use the IMIYA funds.
Grants for the 2026 convention would come later, likely in January/February.

IMIYA GATHERING 
Leslie and Lakewood United Church of Christ are available on September 13th, 11-2p.  Leslie has announced this on her site already. Is this viable for the majority to support and attend? (Church prep, Agenda, Chant, Program, Potluck, Other). This works for most of the board members.
For the class offering, we could have several teachers each teach a few poses. Senior teachers teach some therapeutic Iyengar yoga. Reach out to Peggy, Kelly and Leslie. 
IMIYA will bring beverages and then everyone brings a dish. 
Ask Sawyer to lead the chant.
T-shirts. Use the third party vendor, CustomInk, that IYNAUS uses for conventions and Coast to Coast. We could ask for submissions of t-shirt designs at the gathering. Have some butcher paper and art supplies for attendees to come up with some design ideas. Some questions – are there minimums for orders. T-shirt rules – needs to have an asana, a sutra and no dates. It would be nice to have a new t-shirt for IMIYA members to have at the convention. Prinify.com
