IMIYA BOARD MEETING Sunday March 8, 2026 4:30pm

AGENDA BOARD Action items: Gathering night – April 4th Gift for Nicholas T-shirt fundraisers Meeting on May 17th – 4:30 (Member meeting agenda for the convention)

GRANTS (Mandy Coates, Melanie Doskocil)- Update on current scholarships offered.
Mandy sent out a grant letter to one of the recipients – AW. $300 ($200 from IMIYA and and $100 fromIYNAUS). If not taken, LW is interested. DB is the other recipient. ($150 from IMIYA, $150 from IYNAUS)
Mandy’s last month on the board will be at the end of May.
Board discussed future grant offerings. The next grant offering would likely be next year. Donation monies are down. Membership has gone down.

MEMBERSHIP/Newsletter (Kara Durland)
Leslie Bradley is no longer offering monthly Teacher’s class. These may be offered in another format.
Interest in writing a blurb for the newsletter about attending Marla Apt workshop.

Regional Rep (Rebecca Wallace)
Recent IYNAUS Meeting. No Regional rep meeting in February. There will be a regional rep meeting in March. IYNAUS has a meeting on May 3. Convention preparation is going well.
Convention attendance. Rebecca will check on IMIYA member attendance at the convention. IMIYA would like to reach out to members of the community who are attending the convention in May.
IMIYA Ad for Convention magazine. Thanks to Mandy for making that happen!

Other business
Fundraisers: How are these doing? IMIYA T-shirt fundraiser- ends March 17. Convention T- Launched March 2 and ends March 31.
Mandy made an announcement at YCD and people are excited. Order numbers are increasing.
Can t-shirt fundraisers be reopened or extended? Possibly but not sure the ins and outs. What happens when the fundraiser ends? Are we able to buy the rest of the shirts at cost?
Kara will send out a message via constant contact with a reminder about t-shirt fundraisers and dates.

Gift for Nicholas from the IMIYA board

Movie Night, April 4, 2026 – Living Yoga (Easter Weekend)
Film is distributed by Kino Lorber. Application submitted with f/u emails. No response thus far.
License can run upwards of $200. A work in progress.
Do we plan to show film via Youtube with or without license. What other options could we show? Rebecca will reach out to Catherine Vaucher at the Archives committee.
One idea is to show something in the background while people come to pick up their t-shirts.
Do we want to consider a shorter film or clip?
